With 4 more Covid +ve case, day’s total in Cachar rises to 4 on 30 October

Active cases 41 in Cachar, 14 discharged on Saturday

Oct. 30: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Saturday at late night. As per the latest data, 04 more persons were detected as Coronavirus positive during the day. With this, a total of 04 persons were found positive in the district on 30 October. Earlier, at 5 PM, it was informed that no person was found positive. Also, 12 patients were discharged during the day. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has reached 41. It needs mention here that on Friday, 09 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.

As per the updated data, a total of 1,685 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, no person was found positive, whereas 04 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 20,269 whereas during this phase, 20,012 patients were discharged.

Apart from this, the district authority informed that out of the 41 active patients:

17 of them are admitted at SMCH
01 at MH
02 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital
00 at Cachar Cancer Hospital
21 patients are in home isolation.

The Covid-19 situation in Cachar is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 29 October to 5 PM on 30 October) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Saturday evening.

Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 30 October, there were 15 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College. Further, no patient was put under ventilator support, and 02 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 01 Covid positive patient was admitted at SMCH and 01 of them was discharged.
