244 tests Covid-19 +ve in Assam on Wednesday, 391 discharged & 6 deaths registered
Active cases 2,491 in Assam
Oct. 27: On Wednesday, out of 37,836 tests, 244 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 6,09,506. The positivity rate in the state is 0.64 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 75 positive cases during the day. Further, on Wednesday, 06 died in the state due to COVID-19. The death toll in the state stands at 5,987. The recovery rate is 98.39 percent.
It needs mention here that on Tuesday, 347 persons tested positive in Assam and 03 deaths were registered.

On Wednesday, 391 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 5,99,681 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. This was confirmed in a tweet by NHM, Assam. At present, there are 2,491 active cases in the state.
Further, during the day, 03 patients died in Assam due to COVID-19. Out of the 06 deceased, 02 each are from Kamrup Metro and Kamrup Rural, 01 each from Dhubri & Jorhat. The death tally of the state now stands at 5,987.
