NB Biswas, retired Professor of Assam University passes away

Oct. 24: Professor NB Biswas, former Head of the Department of Education of Assam University, who retired from service just a few years ago breathed his last on 22 October, 2021 in a private hospital at Sodepur in Kolkata. He was suffering from kidney related problems and was undergoing dialysis. As per medical reports, high level of creatinine caused disfunctional in his organs. Prof Biswas was cremated at Nawadip Dham on 23 October. His death was mourned by many including his former colleagues of Assam University.

Expressing condolence, Prof Alok Tripathi said, “I didn’t wish to believe, when I got this sad news. We are alumni of the same University. I fondly remember my brief association with him. He was like a Guru to me and learned many things from him. May his soul attain moksha.”
