295 tests Covid-19 +ve in Assam on Thursday, 388 discharged & 8 death registered
There are 2,797 active cases in Assam
Oct. 7: On Thursday, out of 45,454 tests, 295 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 6,04,218. The positivity rate in the state is 0.65 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 92 positive cases during the day. Further, on Thursday, 08 more persons lost their lives in the state due to COVID-19. With this, the death toll in the state reached 5,911. The recovery rate is 98.33 percent.
It needs mention here that on Wednesday, 300 persons tested positive in Assam and 06 death was registered.
On Thursday, 388 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 5,94,163 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. This was confirmed in a tweet by NHM, Assam. At present, there are 2,797 active cases in the state.

Further, during the day, 08 patients died in Assam due to COVID-19. Out of the 08 deceased, 01 each are from from Cachar, Golaghat, Jorhat, Kamrup Metro, Karbi Anglong, Sivasagar, Tinsukia & Udalguri. The death tally of the state now stands at 5,911.
