564 tests Covid-19 +ve in Assam on Monday, 7 deaths registered

Sept. 13: On Monday, out of 79,534 tests, 564 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 5,95,669. The positivity rate in the state is 0.71 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 118 positive cases during the day. Further, on Monday, 07 more persons lost their lives in the state due to COVID-19. With this, the death toll in the state reached 5,758. The recovery rate is 98.09 percent.

It needs mention here that on Sunday, 259 persons tested positive in Assam and 11 deaths were registered.

On Tuesday, 644 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 5,84,296 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. This was confirmed in a tweet by NHM, Assam.  At present, there are 4,268 active cases in the state.

Further, during the day, 07 patients died in Assam due to COVID-19. Out of the 07 deceased, 03 of them are from from Kamrup Metro; 01 each from Dibrugarh, Golaghat & Kamrup rural. The death tally of the state now stands at 5,758.
