Cachar Police seize heroin at Jirighat, 2 peddlers nabbed

Sept. 7: The fight against drugs launched by Assam Police is continuing unabated in every district. Cachar Police too is regularly seizing narcotics and nabbing culprits associated with drugs. On Monday, Cachar Police seized 84.8 grams of suspected heroin from Jirighat and also apprehended 2 drug peddlers. Taking to its twitter handle, Cachar Police wrote, “It’s a Sixer! Today at about 4:30 PM Cachar Police team lead by SDPO Lakhipur apprehended two paddlers along with 84.8gms of suspected heroin near Lapland, Mahan Nagar under Jirighat PS.”
