With 6 more Covid +ve cases, day’s total in Cachar rises to 16 on 5 Sept
Active cases 119 in Cachar; 11 discharged on Sunday
Sept 5: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Sunday at late night. As per the latest data, 06 more persons were detected as Coronavirus positive during the day. With this, a total of 10 persons were found positive in the district on 5 September. Earlier, at 6 PM, it was informed that 06 persons were found positive. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has reached 119. This was informed by District Media Expert on Sunday night. Also, 11 patients were discharged during the day. It needs mention here that on Saturday, 13 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.
As per the updated data, a total of 966 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 10 persons were found positive, whereas 06 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 19,805 whereas during this phase, 19,489 patients were discharged.
Apart from this, the district authority informed that out of the 119 active patients:
24 of them are admitted at SMCH
05 at MH
12 at SM Dev Civil Hospital
08 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital
05 at CRPF Doyapur
04 at Cachar Cancer Hospital
05 at Chotodudpatil Model Hospital
01 Palonghat Model Hospital
55 patients are in home isolation.
The Covid-19 situation in gradually is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 4 September to 5 PM on 5 September) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Sunday evening.
Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 5 September, there were 23 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College. Further, 01 patients were put under ventilator support and 14 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 01 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 02 of them were discharged.
