Ward-wise 2nd dose vaccination in Silchar Municipal areas to begin from 1 September

Aug. 28: A total of 6,01,890 people of Cachar district were administered the 1st dose of Covid-19 vaccine, whereas, 1,19,885 persons were provided 2nd dose. Further, 7,984 persons of Cachar who had taken 1st dose of Covaxin are yet to take the second dose. Also, 17, 810 persons who have been administered 1st dose of Covishield will have to take its 2nd dose. Suman Choudhury, District Media Expert has appealed to the people to avail there 2nd dose in the different vaccination centres within their stipulated time.

A special drive for 2nd dose of Covishield and Covaxin will be conducted in Cachar district from 31 August, 2021. Suman Choudhury further informed that around 3 months ago, ward-wise vaccination drive was conducted in the municipal areas of Silchar. Those who had availed vaccine during the ward-wise drive, their 2nd dose is due now. So from 1 September to 15 September, 2nd dose will be provided again ward-wise.
