935 tests Covid-19 +ve in Assam on Thursday, 1,310 discharged & 17 deaths registered
There are 9,080 active Covid cases in Assam
Aug 12: On Thursday, out of 1,11,728 tests, 935 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 5,77,970. The positivity rate in the state is 0.84 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 163 positive cases during the day. Further, on Thursday, 17 more persons lost their lives in the state due to COVID-19. With this, the death toll in the state reached 5,451. The recovery rate is 97.25 percent.
It needs mention here that on Wednesday, 886 persons tested positive in Assam and 14 deaths were registered.
On Thursday, 1,310 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 5,62,092 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. This was confirmed in a tweet by NHM, Assam. At present, there are 9,080 active cases in the state.

Further, during the day, 17 patients died in Assam due to COVID-19. Out of the 17 deceased, 02 are from Jorhat; 02 each from Cachar, Kamrup Metro & Lakhimpur; 01 each from Baksa, Dhemaji, Dibrugarh, Goalpara, Golaghat, Hojai, Kamrup Rural & Nagaon.” The death tally of the state now stands at 5,451.
