2,169 tests Covid-19 +ve in Assam on Tuesday, 1,456 discharged & 23 deaths registered
There are 20,284 active Covid cases in Assam
July 13: On Tuesday, out of 1,24,381 tests, 2,169 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 5,38,407. The positivity rate in the state is 1.74 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 258 positive cases during the day. Further, on Tuesday, 23 more persons lost their lives in the state due to COVID-19. With this, the death toll in the state reached 4,888. The recovery rate is 95.07 percent.
It needs mention here that on Monday, 2,575 persons tested positive in Assam and 37 deaths were registered.
On Tuesday, 1,456 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 5,11,888 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. This was confirmed in a tweet by NHM, Assam. The recovery rate in the state is 95.07 percent. At present, there are 20,284 active cases in the state.

Further, during the day, 23 patients died in Assam due to COVID-19. Out of the 23 deceased, 03 each are from Golaghat & Jorhat; 02 each from Karbi Anglong, Nagaon & Tinsukia; 01 each from Biswanath, Chirang, Dibrugarh, Dima Hasao, Goalpara, Hojai, Kamrup Metro, Kamrup Rural, Lakhimpur, Morigaon & Sonitpur. The death tally of the state now stands at 4,888.
