975 tests Covid-19 +ve in Assam on Friday, 14 deaths registered

Aug 6: On Friday, out of 1,15,049 tests, 975 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 5,72,546. The positivity rate in the state is 0.85 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 121 positive cases during the day. Further, on Friday, 14 more persons lost their lives in the state due to COVID-19. With this, the death toll in the state reached 5,357. The recovery rate is 97.02 percent.

It needs mention here that on Thursday, 1,067 persons tested positive in Assam and 17 deaths were registered.
