8 hotels identified for paid quarantine in Cachar for passengers on arrival till declaration of RT-PCR results

Jan. 16: With the surge in Covid-19 cases, Cachar district administration has identified 8 hotels in Silchar town as venue for paid quarantine for international passengers/ domestic passengers who would be arriving in the district through airways, railways and roadways. Such passengers may opt for this till the declaration of their RT-PCR results. This will be totally on paid basis by respective passengers and optional mode, subject to non-opting of home isolation. An order to this effect was issued by Chief Executive Officer of District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Cachar on 13 January, 2022.

The details of the hotels are:

1. Hotel Sagarika, Shillongpatty
2. Hotel Sudakshina, Shillongpatty
3. Rudraksh Hotel, Shillongpatty
4. JC International, Park Road
5. Geetanjali Hotel, Park Road
6. Oishee Hotel, Hospital Road
7. Tripura Lodge, Hailakandi road
8. Ellora Hotel, Park Road

For the 1st two hotels, Prodip Deb, JE, RMSA has been appointed as the Nodal Officer. For the next three hotels, Manoj Koiri, i/c, BEEO Katigorah will be the Nodal Officer. Biswajit Deb, i/c, BEEO Salchapra has been appointed as the Nodal Officer. These Nodal officers will look after all matters of paid quarantine and report to DDMA, Cachar on daily basis.

The order further stated that Kishan Chorei, Assistant Commissioner, Cachar will be the overall in-charge of the Paid Quarantine Centre Management and will report to the CEO of DDMA as and when required. The Nodal officers were directed to coordinate with the Assistant Commissioner in case of any issues related to paid quarantine centre management.
