797 found Covid +ve in Assam on Wednesday, 1 death & active cases 5,690 in the state

July 27: On Wednesday, out of 9,424 tests, 797 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus stands at 7,37,104. The positivity rate in the state is 8.46percent. Out of the 797 positive cases, the high case load districts are: Goalpara (75), Sivasagar (75), Sonitpur (60), Kamrup Metro (48) and Dhemaji (45).. Further, 42 persons were detected as Covid positive in Cachar during the day.

Further, on Wednesday, 01 died in the state due to COVID-19. The death toll in the state stands at 6,663. The recovery rate is 98.14 percent. 649 persons were discharged during the day. So far, 7,23,399 persons got cured and were discharged. There are at present 5,690 active Covid patients in the state.

It needs mention here that on Tuesday, 686 persons tested positive in Assam and no death was registered.
