Silchar Chennai direct flight commences its journey on Thursday

July 1: It’s indeed a historic moment for Barak Valley in general and Silchar in particular as the Silchar – Chennai direct flight commenced it’s journey on Thursday. Taking to its twitter handle, Silchar Airport wrote, “Historic moment for Silchar Airport as Fly SpiceJet flight SG 203 landed at 9.15 AM on 1 July with 21 passengers on board. Passengers were accorded grand welcome at Silchar Airport. All necessary measures were undertaken for smooth operation of the inaugural Chennai – Silchar flight.”

The inaugural Chennai – Silchar Fly SpiceJet flight SG 204 departed for Chennai Airport at 10.00 AM on 1 July with 162 passengers on board. “Silchar Airport is delighted to welcome the historic @flyspicejet #Chennai – #Silchar flight. We ensured Safe & comfortable travel experience of all passengers. Best wishes to #SpiceJet & would request other Airlines to provide more connectivity,” tweeted Silchar Airport.
