6 jawans of Assam Police killed in firing at Assam- Mizoram border, CM expresses condolence
July 26: In a tragic turn of events, six jawans of Assam Police breathed their last while on duty in Assam- Mizoram border. On Monday, the Mizoram forces opened fire in which the jawans of Assam Police were shot at. Taking to his twitter handle, Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “I am deeply pained to inform that six brave jawans of @assampolice have sacrificed their lives while defending constitutional boundary of our state at the Assam-Mizoram border. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families.”
