ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং ডিপ্লোমা উচ্চ মাধ্যমিক পাশের সমতুলEngineering degree equivalent to HS pass
১৪নভেম্বরঃ ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিংয়ে তিন বছরের ডিপ্লোমা কোর্স করা উচ্চ মাধ্যমিক পাশের সমতুল। ফলে তাঁরা জেলা পরিষদ সদস্য পদের জন্য প্রার্থী হতে পারবেন।রাজ্য নির্বাচন কমিশন বুধবার স্পষ্ট করে দিয়েছে। এ বারই প্রথম অসমে পঞ্চায়েত নির্বাচনে প্রতিদ্বন্দ্বিতার জন্য শিক্ষাগত যোগ্যতা বেঁধে দেওয়া হয়েছে। তাতে বেশ কিছু কোর্স নিয়ে সমস্যা দেখা দিয়েছে। বিশেষ করে প্রশ্ন ওঠে, ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিংয়ের তিন বছরের ডিপ্লোমা কোর্স নিয়ে। এরই স্পষ্টীকরণ দেওয়া হয়েছে নির্বাচন কমিশনের তরফে।
November 14: Three year diploma in Engineering is equivalent to Higher Secondary pass. As such, these kind of candidates are eligible for contesting Zila Parishad. This was clarified by the State Election Commissioner on Wednesday. It is for the first time that educational qualification has been made a criteria for contesting Panchayat polls in Assam. It is in this context that problems came to surface regarding interpretation of certain courses, especially that of 3-year diploma course in Engineering. It is in this context, that the clarification was given by the State Election Commission.
