DLCW Hailakandi celebrates Women’s Day

March 9: DLCW Hailakandi celebrated International Women’s Day at District Social Welfare Office on 8 March, 2021. The event was graced by the presence of DSWO, Assistant Commissioner and CDPO, Hailakandi ICDS , Member of Women Cell and Faculty Member Algapur ICDS.

To commemorate the day, discussion on importance of the day was held where issues of women and adolescent girls, their rights and empowerment and Mahila Shakti Kendra Schemes took place. Three Covid-19 warriors (ASHA, Safai Karmi and AWC) were felicitated for their incredible contribution towards the society. Participants were SV, AWC, Supervisor, ASHA, DLCW and other staff of the department. The programme was concluded by taking the pledge.
