6 found Covid +ve in Cachar on 22 December

Active cases 46 in Cachar, 1 discharged

Dec. 22: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Wednesday at 10.55 PM. As per the latest data, 06 persons were found positive in the district on 22 December. Also, 01 patients was discharged (none from hospital & 1 from home) during the day. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has reached 46 (34 in home isolation & 12 in hospitals). It needs mention here that on Tuesday, 05 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.

As per the updated data, a total of 1,476 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 01 person was found positive, whereas 05 were detected positive out of 239 RT-PCR Tests. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 20,536 whereas during this phase, 20,272 patients were discharged.

The Covid-19 situation in Cachar is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 21 December to 5 PM on 22 December) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Wednesday evening.

Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 22 December, there were 11 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College. Further, no patient was put under ventilator support, but 02 are in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 01 Covid positive patient was admitted at SMCH but none of them were discharged.
