India Telecom 2022 is organized by Telecom Equipment and Services Export Promotion Council (TEPC) 8-10 February 2022 under the Market Access Initiative Scheme (MAI) of the Department of Commerce, Government of India and with the support of the Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of External Affairs and Indian missions in different countries. This comes days after finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman in her Union Budget 2022 speech stated that spectrum auctions will be conducted this year to roll out 5G services, by private telecom providers. She also stated that a scheme for design-led manufacturing will be launched to build a strong ecosystem for 5G as part of the production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme.
