590 tests COVID-19 +ve in Assam on Tuesday; 1 death registered

April 13: On Tuesday, out of 59,310 tests, 590 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 2,21,483. The positivity rate in the state is 0.99 percent. At present, there are 2,924 active cases in the state. Kamrup (M) district recorded 249 cases during the day.

On Tuesday, 52 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 2,16,093, patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. This was confirmed in a tweet by NHM, Assam. The recovery rate in the state is 97.57%.

Further, during the day, 01 patient died in Assam due to COVID-19. The deceased is from Kamrup Metro. The death tally of the state stands at 1,119.
