573 tests Covid-19 +ve in Assam on Wednesday, 669 discharged & 11 deaths registered
There are 5,447 active Covid cases in Assam
Sept. 1: On Wednesday, out of 79,121 tests, 573 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 5,89,999. The positivity rate in the state is 0.72 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 143 positive cases during the day. Further, on Wednesday, 11 more persons lost their lives in the state due to COVID-19. With this, the death toll in the state reached 5,671. The recovery rate is 97.89 percent.
It needs mention here that on Tuesday, 570 persons tested positive in Assam and 05 deaths were registered.
On Wednesday, 669 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 5,77,534 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. This was confirmed in a tweet by NHM, Assam. At present, there are 5,447 active cases in the state.

Further, during the day, 11 patients died in Assam due to COVID-19. Out of the 11 deceased, 03 are from Kamrup Metro, 02 each from jorhat & Nagaon; 01 each from Golaghat, Dibrugarh, Karbi Anglong & Nalbari. The death tally of the state now stands at 5,671.
