54 kg cannabis & Rs.7 lakh seized in a raid by Cachar Police, 1 aarrested

May 11: Amidst ongoing lockdown and night curfew, Cachar Police showed its promptness and conducted a raid along with CRPF in Dudhpatil area of the district. The joint operation was bang on target and the police forces seized 54 kg cannabis from the possession of one woman. Further, the cops recovered over Rs. 7 Lakh from her possession. The woman was arrested and a case has been registered. Further investigation is on to unearth the links of the crime partners.
