508 tests +ve in Assam on Thursday; 1584 patients discharged
Active cases 24,724 in Assam
Oct. 22: On Thursday, out of 34,745 tests only 508 were detected as COVID-19 positive. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 2,03,282, out of which, 24,724 are active cases. The positivity rate in the state is 1.48 percent.
On Thursday, 1584 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 1,77,659 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. This was confirmed in a tweet by State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
Further, during the day, 07 more persons in the state died due to COVID-19, thereby taking the death tally of the state to 896.
