508 found Covid +ve in Assam on Monday, active cases 5,296 in the state

Aug 1: On Monday, out of 7,549 tests, 508 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus stands at 7,39,514. The positivity rate in the state is 6.73 percent. Out of the 508 positive cases, the high case load districts are: Dibrugarh (46), Lakhimpur (46), Kamrup Metro (38), Sonitpur (28) and Biswanath (26).. Further, 15 persons were detected as Covid positive in Cachar during the day.

Further, on Monday, none died in the state due to COVID-19. The death toll in the state stands at 6,663. The recovery rate is 98.20 percent. 618 persons were discharged during the day. So far, 7,26,201 persons got cured and were discharged. There are at present 5,296 active Covid patients in the state.
