Two persons arrested for clandestinely operating Aadhaar enrolment

Nov.18: Two persons were apprehended for clandestinely operating Aadhaar enrolment illegally in Hailakandi on Tuesday night. Disclosing this information, Superintendent of Police, Pabindra Kumar Nath said the persons have been arrested at Bahadurpur under Hailakandi Police Station last night when they were doing Aadhaar enrolment clandestinely outside an earmarked Aadhaar enrolment centre. The two arrested are Riajul Karim Mazumder and Nurul Haque Barbhuiya.

Nath said the persons have been arrested and remanded to judicial custody. A case no.1010/20 under Sections 468, 419 and 420 IPC has been registered against them.
