49 tests Covid-19 +ve in Cachar on Thursday, 2 patients critical at ICU in SMCH
Active cases 291 in Cachar
April 22: On Thursday, 49 new cases of COVID-19 was reported in Cachar. During the day, a total of 1,928 Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) were done, out of which, a total of 35 persons were found positive, whereas 14 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. This was informed by Dr. Ibrahim Ali Ahmed, District Surveillance Officer (DSO), IDSP, Cachar on Thursday night. However, on Wednesday night, the total positive cases in the district was 56.
With this, the district tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 11,933. Further, a total of 11,604 patients were discharged in the district as of now. At present, 22 patients are admitted at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH), 11 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital, 08 at MH, 08 at SM Dev Civil Hospital, whereas, 242 others are in home isolation. There are 291 active cases in Cachar district. Two patients are in critical condition at SMCH.
Further, during the day, 6 passengers out of total of 419 air passengers were detected Covid positive at Silchar. Cachar district administration as handed over a list of 385 air passengers who evaded the Covid test on Wednesday ignoring the guidelines of the state government.
