47 tests Covid positive in Hailakandi on Saturday, 1 death registered

Jan. 22: On Saturday, Hailakandi registered 47 (41 RAT & 06 RT-PCR) new COVID-19 cases. The district has altogether has 457 active COVID-19 cases. During the day, 754 RAT tests and 74 RT-PCR tests were done. 54 patients were discharged during the day. With this, the district tally of Covid cases has now reached 9,038 (1st,  2nd & 3rd wave).

As of now, a total of 5,050 patients were discharged. It needs mention here that 45 persons were found positive in Hailakandi on Friday. Till date, 55 persons died due to Covid-19 in Hailakandi district.  A total of 1,036 persons were vaccinated on Saturday.

One person from Hailakandi died at Silchar Medical College & Hospital in last 24 hours. The deceased were identified as: Dulon Chandra Das (52) from Algapur in Hailakandi district tested Covid positive and was admitted at SMCH on 18 January. The patient, however, breathed his last at 9.30 PM on 21 January, 2022. The patient was suffering from acute respiratory distress syndrome, dyselectrolytemia, uremic encephalopathy, chronic kidney & artery diseases.
