4,548 tests Covid-19 +ve in Assam on Friday, 4,263 discharged & 54 deaths registered

June 4: On Friday, out of 1,23,593 tests, 4,548 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 4,28,933. The positivity rate in the state is 3.68 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 421 positive cases during the day. Further, on Friday, 54 more persons lost their lives in the state due to COVID-19. With this, the death toll in the state reached 3,577. The recovery rate is 87.02 percent.

It needs mention here that on Thursday, 4,309 persons tested positive in Assam and 46 deaths were registered.

On Friday, 4,263 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 3,73,244 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. This was confirmed in a tweet by NHM, Assam. The recovery rate in the state is 87.02 percent. At present, there are 50,765 active cases in the state.

Further, during the day, 54 patients died in Assam due to COVID-19. Out of the 54 deceased, 06 each are from Kamrup Metro, Cachar & Tinsukia; 05 from Karbi Anglong; 04 from Dibrugarh; 03 from Hojai; 02 each from Barpeta, Bongaigaon, Golaghat, Hojai, Kamrup rural, Lakhimpur, Morigaon & Sivasagar; 01 each from Baksa, Darrang, Dhemaji, Dhubri, Goalpara & Nagaon. The death tally of the state now stands at 3,577.
