446 found Covid +ve in Assam, 1791 discharged & 16 deaths registered on Saturday

Feb. 5: On Saturday, out of 21,152 tests, 446 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 7,21,124. The positivity rate in the state is 2,11 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 109 positive cases during the day. Further, on Saturday, 16 died in the state due to COVID-19. The death toll in the state stands at 6,549. The recovery rate is 97.44 percent. Also, 1,791 persons were discharged during the day. There are at present 10,581 active Covid patients in the state.

It needs mention here that on Friday, 739 persons tested positive in Assam and 15 deaths were registered.
