431 found Covid +ve in Assam on Wednesday, 2 deaths & active cases 4,917 in the state

Aug 3: On Wednesday, out of 7,833 tests, 431 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus stands at 7,40,449. The positivity rate in the state is 5.50 percent. Out of the 431 positive cases, the high case load districts are: Kamrup Metro (48), Dibrugarh (32), Cachar (29), Kamrup Rural (29) and Tinsukia (29).

Further, on Wednesday, 02 died in the state due to COVID-19. The deceased are from Kamrup Metro and Lakhimpur. The death toll in the state stands at 6,665. The recovery rate is 98.25 percent. 589 persons were discharged during the day. So far, 7,27,511 persons got cured and were discharged. There are at present 4,917 active Covid patients in the state.
