4,309 tests Covid-19 +ve in Assam on Thursday, 4,790 discharged & 46 deaths registered

There are 50,534 active cases in the state

June 3: On Thursday, out of 1,07,075 tests, 4,309 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 4,24,385. The positivity rate in the state is 4.02 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 386 positive cases during the day. Further, on Thursday, 46 more persons lost their lives in the state due to COVID-19. It needs mention that the number of deaths came down 50 after a couple of days. With this, the death toll in the state reached 3,523. The recovery rate is 86.94 percent.

It needs mention here that on Wednesday, 4,178 persons tested positive in Assam and 61 deaths were registered.

On Wednesday, 4,790 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 3,68,981 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. This was confirmed in a tweet by NHM, Assam. The recovery rate in the state is 86.94 percent. At present, there are 50,534 active cases in the state.

Further, during the day, 46 patients died in Assam due to COVID-19. Out of the 46 deceased, 08 are from Tinsukita; 06 from Dibrugarh; 05 from Kamrup Metro; 04 each from Morigaon, Nagaon & Sonitpur; 02 each from Cachar & Nalbari; 01 each from Charaideo, Darrang, Dhubri, Goalpara, Golaghat, Hailakandi, Kamrup Rural & Sivasagar. The death tally of the state now stands at 3,523.
