Pushkar Singh Dhami to be the new CM of Uttarakhand

June 3: Pushkar Singh Dhami will be the new chief minister of Uttarakhand, succeeding Tirath Singh Rawat, who stepped down from the post on Friday. This was suggested by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) announced on Saturday. The 45-year-old is a two-time legislator representing the Khatima constituency in the state’s Kumaon region. Pushkar Singh Dhami was an Officer on Special Duty to former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Bhagat Singh Koshiyari. He will take oath as Chief Minister at 5 pm tomorrow, the Uttarakhand Raj Bhavan confirmed.
