4,178 tests Covid-19 +ve in Assam on Wednesday, 4,389 discharged & 61 deaths registered

There are 51,061 active cases in the state

June 2: On Wednesday, out of 1,02,922 tests, 4,178 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 4,20,076. The positivity rate in the state is 4.06 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 383 positive cases during the day. Further, on Wednesday, 61 more persons lost their lives in the state due to COVID-19. With this, the death toll in the state reached 3,477. The recovery rate is 86.51 percent.

It needs mention here that on Tuesday, 4,682 persons tested positive in Assam and 51 deaths were registered.

On Wednesday, 4,389 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 3,64,191 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. This was confirmed in a tweet by NHM, Assam. The recovery rate in the state is 86.70 percent. At present, there are 51,061 active cases in the state.

Further, during the day, 61 patients died in Assam due to COVID-19. Out of the 61 deceased, 05 are from Karbi Anglong; 04 each from Cachar, Dibrugarh, Jorhat, Kamrup Metro, Sonitpur & Tinsukia; 03 each from Hojai, Nagaon, Sivasagar & Udalguri; 02 each from Barpeta, Bongaigaon, Darrang, Dhemaji, Dhubri, Karimganj, Kokhrajhar & Morigaon; 01 each from Charaideo, Chirang, Golaghat & South Salmara. The death tally of the state now stands at 3,477.
