4-Tipper carrying stones without transit challan apprehended in Dholai 

November 5: One after another accidents are taking place at various parts of Cachar district by the trucks and tippers. Many a times even in the recent past, public has stopped many such tippers at Silchar town where stone filled vehicles ply at a lightning speed without any valid document. The death of journalist Molin Sharma being hit by one such tipper brought this ugly reality into surface.

On Tuesday, 4 tippers loaded with stones were apprehended by the Forest Officials and staff at Dholai in Cachar. All the vehicles were on their way without any transit challan. Sensing trouble, the tipper drivers left their vehicles on the spot and fled away. The tippers remained stranded on the street, which were then seized by the officials and taken into their custody. Investigation is on as regard the owners of the vehicles.

 Who knows, if these tippers were left unchecked, then they might have been the cause of death of many more like Molin Sharma.
