4 tests Covid positive in Cachar on Wednesday, 15 discharged
There are 64 active cases in Cachar
Feb. 9: The number of coronavirus cases in Cachar district is gradually decreasing. The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Wednesday at 6.40 PM. As per the latest data, a total of only 04 persons were found positive in the district on 9 February. Also, 15 patients were discharged (13 from home & 02 from hospital) during the day. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has gone down to 64, out of which, 51 are in home isolation whereas 13 are admitted in various hospitals of the district. On Tuesday, 15 persons were found positive in Cachar. The death toll in Cachar due to Covid has reached 35 this year.
As per the updated data, a total of 1,857 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 02 persons were found positive, whereas 02 were detected positive out of 221 RT-PCR Tests. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 Jan 2022 reached 6,385 whereas during this phase, 6,286 patients were discharged. There has been a gradual decline in the number of daily positive cases in Cachar district. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 8 February to 5 PM on 9 February) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Wednesday evening.
Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 9 February, there was only 01 Covid-19 active patient at Silchar Medical College. In the last 24 hours, 01 Covid positive patient was admitted at SMCH and none were discharged. 01 patient was detected positive in RAT at SMCH and 02 found positive in RTPCR on Wednesday.
