3,804 tests Covid-19 +ve in Assam on Monday, 4,613 discharged & 37 deaths registered

There are 48,672 active cases in the state

June 7: On Monday, out of 1,24,316 tests, 3,804 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 4,38,746. The positivity rate in the state is 3.06 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 318 positive cases during the day. Further, on Monday, 37 more persons lost their lives in the state due to COVID-19. With this, the death toll in the state reached 3,695. The recovery rate is 87.76 percent.

It needs mention here that on Sunday, 2,228 persons tested positive in Assam and 37 deaths were registered.

On Monday, 4,613 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 3,85,032 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. This was confirmed in a tweet by NHM, Assam. The recovery rate in the state is 87.76 percent. At present, there are 48,672 active cases in the state.

Further, during the day, 37 patients died in Assam due to COVID-19. Out of the 37 deceased, 04 each are from Cachar, Jorhat & Dibrugarh; 03 each from Jorhat & Morigaon; 02 each from Bongaigaon, Kamrup Metro, Kokhrajhar, Lakhimpur & Sonitpur; 01 each from Baksa, Biswanath, Charaideo, Darrang, Golaghat, Kamrup Rural, Nalbari, Sivasagar & Tinsukia. The death tally of the state now stands at 3,695.
