38 detected Covid +ve till 6 PM in Cachar on Tuesday

July 6:  A total of 38 new cases of COVID-19 was reported till 6 PM on Tuesday in Cachar. The number of positive cases is expected to rise towards the night. During the day, 3,775 Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) were done in which 38 were found positive, whereas the RT-PCR test results for the day was not made available till the filing of this report. It needs mention here that 56 persons were detected Covid-19 positive on Monday.

The Covid-19 situation in gradually is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 5 July to 5 PM on 6 July) also did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH).  This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Tuesday evening.

Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 6 July, there were 110 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College, out of which 50 patients were there in the ICU, whereas, 60 of them were in the Covid ward. Further, 15 patients were put under ventilator support and 78 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 13 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 18 of them were discharged.
