3,677 found Covid +ve in Assam, 4545 discharged & 20 deaths registered on Thursday

Jan. 27: On Thursday, out of 44,389 tests, 3,677 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 7,08,530. The positivity rate in the state is 8.28 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 768 positive cases during the day. Further, on Thursday, 20 died in the state due to COVID-19. The death toll in the state stands at 6,379. The recovery rate is 93.95 percent. Also, 4,545 persons were discharged during the day. There are at present 35,175 active Covid patients in the state.

It needs mention here that on Wednesday, 1,951 persons tested positive in Assam and 21 deaths were registered.
