3,477 tests Covid-19 +ve in Assam on Thursday, 4,949 discharged & 41 deaths registered
At present, there are 36,793 active cases in the state
June 17: On Thursday, out of 1,54,264 tests, 3,477 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 4,73,453. The positivity rate in the state is 2.25 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 169 positive cases during the day. Further, on Thursday, 41 more persons lost their lives in the state due to COVID-19. With this, the death toll in the state reached 4,105. The recovery rate is 91.08 percent. It needs mention here that on Wednesday, 3,386 persons tested positive in Assam and 36 deaths were registered.
On Thursday, 4,949 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 4,31,208 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. This was confirmed in a tweet by NHM, Assam. The recovery rate in the state is 91.08 percent. At present, there are 36,793 active cases in the state.

Further, during the day, 41 patients died in Assam due to COVID-19. Out of the 41 deceased, 09 are from Jorhat; 04 each from Kamrup Metro, Tinsukia & Sivasagar; 03 each from Goalpara, Golaghat, Nagaon & Sonitpur; 01 each from Baksa, Barpeta, Cachar, Darrang, Dhemaji, Dibrugarh, Karbianglong & Udalguri. The death tally of the state now stands at 4,105.
