3 new COVID-19 positive cases in Hailakandi, total tally 361

July 7: Three fresh COVID-19 positive cases have been found in South Assam’s Hailakandi district. Health authorities here disclosed that Mustafa Ahmed Barbhuiya, 29, Azarul Haque Mazumder, 25, and Md.Asaduddin Laskar, 34, have tested positive on Tuesday.

With the withdrawal of six containment zones, the district has 20 zones. Two COVID-19 positive patients viz., Mangoli Rani Das, 53, and Foijul Haque Barbhuiya, 65, breathed their last at Silchar Medical College and Hospital. 285 persons on being cured have been discharged from hospitals with 74 active cases remaining, as per health bulletin released on Tuesday evening.

25 persons are undergoing treatment at SK Roy designated COVID-19 Civil Hospital, 22 at MG Model Hospital, 3 at SMC&H, 23 at Algapur Model Hospital and one at Karimganj Civil Hospital. Of the 9,684 swab samples taken so far, 7,402 turned out to be negative. Swab results of 1,721 are awaited. 1,223 persons are under facility quarantine centres while 4,292 persons under home quarantine.
