3 more MLA’s in Assam including MLA of Hailakandi tests COVID-19 positive

August 30: Ahead of the assembly session, three more MLA’s from Assam tested coronavirus positive. They are AIUDF MLA of Hailakandi Constituency, Anwar Hussain Laskar,  AGP MLA of Naharkatia Naren Sonowal and BJP MLA from Lahowal Rituparna Barua.

As per reports, special provision for testing has been made in the Assam Legislative Assembly premise ahead of the session from 31 August. The 3 MLA’s were were tested in the Assam Legislative Assembly complex. As per a notification, all MLA’s are to go for mandatory COVID-19 test before taking part in the forthcoming assembly proceedings.
