3 found Covid positive in Hailakandi, 5 in Karimganj on Friday

Oct. 22: Hailakandi is gradually inching towards a Covid free district. On Friday, Hailakandi registered 03 new COVID-19 cases. The district has altogether 11 active COVID-19 cases. During the day, 450 RAT tests and 52 RT-PCR tests were done. 01 patient was discharged during the day. With this, the district tally of Covid cases has now reached 7,907 (both 1st & 2nd wave).

As of now, a total of 4,473 patients were discharged. It needs mention here that 01 was found positive in Hailakandi on Thursday. Till date, 51 persons died due to Covid-19 in Hailakandi district.  A total of 1,802 persons were vaccinated on Friday.

Karimganj registered 05 fresh COVID cases on Friday. The district has currently 09 active COVID cases, while 01 patient has been discharged from hospitals and home isolation on Thursday. 767 swab samples were collected during the day.
