3 detected Covid +ve till 5 PM in Cachar on Sunday

Dec. 5: Three new case of COVID-19 were reported till 5 PM on Sunday in Cachar. The number of positive cases is expected to rise towards the night. During the day, 223 Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) were done in which 03 persons were found positive, whereas till the filing of this report, RT-PCR test results were not made available. It needs mention here that 08 persons were detected Covid-19 positive on Saturday.

The Covid-19 situation in Cachar is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 4 December to 5 PM on 5 December) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Sunday evening.

Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 5 December, there were 06 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College. Further, 01 patient was put under ventilator support, and 02 were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, no Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 02 of them were discharged.
