2nd batch of Rafale Jets arrives in India: Indian Air Force
Nov. 4: The second batch of Rafale jets has arrived in India at 8.14 PM on 4 November. In a tweet by the Indian Air Force this evening, it was stated, “Second batch of IAF #Rafale aircraft arrived in India at 8:14 pm on 04 Nov 20 after flying non-stop from France.” The jets had covered the 7000-odd km flying non-stop from France. The Rafales arrived in Ambala airbase.
Indian Air Force’s (IAF) will now be empowered with 3 more French Rafale multi-combat fighter These fighter jetswere accompanied by French Air Force fighter and mid-air refueller. With this, the total number of Rafale aircraft in the Indian Air Force will reach eight.

India received the first batch of five French fighters in July, out of the 36 that has been contracted for at a cost of Rs 59,000 crore. The aircraft are coming through the inter-governmental agreement with France and the deliveries are expected to be completed by 2023. All the fighters are equipped with Mica and Meteor air-to-air missiles along with Scalp air-to-ground cruise missiles.
