299 persons test Covid-19 +ve in Cachar till 6 PM on Monday
05 air passengers during the day were detected as Covid-19 positive
May 17: A total of 299 new cases of COVID-19 was reported till 6 PM on Monday in Cachar. The number of positive cases is expected to rise towards the night. During the day, 293 persons were found positive in Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT), whereas 06 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. This was informed by Suman Choudhury, District Media Expert on Monday evening. It needs mention here that on Sunday, 430 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.
During the day, 181 air passengers who arrived at Silchar Airport underwent Covid test at MG Model Hospital, Tikal. A total of 05 air passengers during the day were detected as Covid-19 positive.
