2,793 tests Covid-19 +ve in Assam on Friday, 3,977 discharged & 26 deaths registered
There are 28,457 active cases in the state
June 24: On Friday, out of 1,39,105 tests, 2,793 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 4,96,481. The positivity rate in the state is 2.01 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 165 positive cases during the day. Further, on Friday, 26 more persons lost their lives in the state due to COVID-19. With this, the death toll in the state reached 4,370. The recovery rate is 93.12 percent.
It needs mention here that on Friday, 2,781 persons tested positive in Assam and 34 deaths were registered.
On Friday, 3,977 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 4,62,307 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. This was confirmed in a tweet by NHM, Assam. The recovery rate in the state is 93,12 percent. At present, there are 28,457 active cases in the state.

Further, during the day, 26 patients died in Assam due to COVID-19. Out of the 26 deceased, 04 are from Dibrugarh; 03 from Kamrup Rural; 02 each from Goalpara, Kamrup Metro, Karimganj, Lakhimpur & Udalguri; 01 each from Cachar, Chirang, Dhubri, Hojai, Jorhat, Nagaon, Nalbari, Sivasagar & Sonitpur. The death tally of the state now stands at 4,370.
