254 Covid deaths in Assam in last 3 days including 89 on Wednesday

May 18: With a tragic turn of events, more and more people are losing their lives in Assam due to Covid-19. In the last three days, 254 persons in the state have lost their lives due to the deadly coronavirus. On 17 May, 92 people succumbed to Covid-19, 18 May recorded 73 more deaths and on 19 May, 89 persons lost their lives in the virus attack.

Out of the 89 deceased on Tuesday, 26 are from Kamrup Metro; 08 each from Kamrup Rural & Dibrugarh; 06 from Karbi Anglong; 05 from Cachar; 03 each from Jorhat, Morigaon, Sonitpur, Tinsukia; 02 each from Barpeta, Charaideo, Goalpara, Hojai, Kokhrajhar, Nagaon, Sivasagar & Udalguri; 01 each from Biswanath, Bongaigaon, Darrang, Dhemaji, Dhubri, Hailakandi, Nalbari and South Salamara. The death tally of the state now stands at 2,433.

Apart from the 2,433 Covid deaths, another 1,347 Covid positive patients also died in Assam, but due to comorbidities.
