25 found Covid +ve in Assam on Monday, 1 death & active cases 2,978 in the state

Aug 15: On Monday, out of 690 tests, 25 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus stands at 7,42,846. The positivity rate in the state is 3.62 percent. Out of the 25 positive cases, the high case load districts are: Kamrup Metro (05), Jorhat (04), Karbi Anglong (04), Bongaigaon (03) and Charaideo (02). During the day, none were found positive in Cachar.

Further, on Monday, 01 died in the state due to COVID-19. The deceased is from Sivasagar.  The death toll in the state stands at 6,670. The recovery rate is 98.52 percent. 235 persons were discharged during the day. So far, 7,31,840 persons got cured and were discharged. There are at present 2,978 active Covid patients in the state.
