23rd Beekshan Film Fest to be held in Silchar from 25 to 27 March

March 20: The 23rd Beekshan Film Festival will be held at Silchar Sangeet Vidyalaya Hall at Park Road from 25 to 27 March, 2022. Viewers have to register themselves for the film fest or have to enrol themselves as Beekshan member to enjoy the festival due to protocols issued by the Government. The 3-day film festival will incorporate 12 films in 11 languages covering 6 nations. This was informed by the organisers of the Film Festival.

In a press release, Beekshan stated, “To Participate in 23rd Beekshan Film Festival as a Viewer or to join Beekshan Cine Commune as a member, please fill up the Google form (Click here). ●Registration / Membership Fees for Film Festival 2022 is Rs.200 ●Payment can be done through UPI (GPay, PhonePe, PayTM, AirtelMoney, & AmazonPay) at +91 9957196871 (Send the Screenshot of payment in Whatsapp at +91 9957196871) or by Cash at Festival Venue : Silchar Sangeet Vidyalaya, Park Road, Silchar (During the Festival : 25th – 27th March, Friday – Sunday, 11.30 am – 7.30 pm).

A total of 12 films will be screened at the 23rd Beekshan Film Festival. These are Kannada film “Thithi”, Arabic film “Omar, Bengali film Meghnad Bodh Rohoshyo, Kia & Kosmos, Nirontor & Urojahaj’ English film “Masculine Feminine, Spanish Film “The Distinguished Citizen, Hindi Film “Meel Patthar”, Indonesian film “The Seen & Unseen”, German Film “Barbara”, Hindi film “Eeb Allay Ooo!”

Apart from the films, two open sessions on Marginal people in Buddhadeb Dasgupta’s films and Future of Big Screens & Film Festivals in the OTT Era will also be held. On the last day of the fest, an Open Cine Quiz in association with Ayiriddhi Sparshamani Foundation will also be held.
