236 Covid deaths in Assam in last 3 days including 74 on Thursday

May 20: With a tragic turn of events, more and more people are losing their lives in Assam due to Covid-19. In the last three days, 236 persons in the state have lost their lives due to the deadly coronavirus. On 18 May, 73 people succumbed to Covid-19, 19 May recorded 89 more deaths and on 20 May, 74 persons lost their lives in the virus attack.

Out of the 74 deceased on Thursday, 10 are from Kamrup Metro; 09 from Barpeta; 08 from Kamrup Rural; 07 each from Darrang & Goalpara; 05 from Nagaon; 04 from Tinsukia; 04 each from Darrang & Sivasagar; 02 each from Bongaigaon, Cachar, Golaghat, Lakhimpur & Sonitpur; 01 each from Baksha, Biswanath, Chirang, Hojai, Kokhrajhar, Morigaon, Nalbari & Udalguri. The death tally of the state now stands at 2,507.

Apart from the 2,507 Covid deaths, another 1,347 Covid positive patients also died in Assam, but due to comorbidities.
